Jadon Sancho’s story is one of dedication and sacrifice to pursue his dreams and achieve his goals.

“I was on an estate. There’s a park behind that we called Blue Park, and we used to just go there and for two hours just play mini games, everyone used to get so into it. I used to have all the tricks, nutmeg people, and I was doing it like the older boys.”

“For the kids that are in south London I hope I can give a positive message. Don’t do those bad things. You don’t have to be footballers. You could focus on your school work. Education is the most important thing and a lot of kids in south London get distracted from education.”

Jadon & Nike Create Youth Football Pitch in South London

Jadon Sancho hasn’t forgotten where his journey started, and now he’s partnered with Nike to provide the youth of South London with a brand new football pitch.

Home of the Lambeth Tigers, a football club for young people aged 6 to 18, and coloured accordingly in vibrant orange and black, the pitch offers footballers of SE11 access to some of the best facilities around. “There’s a real need for safe places for these kids to play in,” said Jamahl Jarrett, co-founder of the club. “A pitch like this is like a sanctuary for kids, encouraging them to get into football in a safe environment. The cool, bright design is also like a magnet — it’s a place where people will want to get out and play.
